Sadly, if you are in debt, you are an “average” American. Although you’re probably not the type of average American that you hope to be.
Now that most people are in debt (more than 60% of us are) and now that the savings rate is negative on average (meaning that people spend so much that they can’t save), the average person is in debt.
Don’t be average. Did you ever hope that you could end up average? I didn’t think so.
