I know you love your credit card. Everyone does. It makes life so easy and convenient. But here are a few things for you to think about:
- Credit card companies are no longer requiring signatures for charges of $25 or less. This probably seems like an added convenience to you. While it is, the real reason for this “product improvement” is to encourage you to spend more. Sure, a $20 purchase is small, but make a few of them and it starts to add up. Don’t start whipping out the plastic for every small charge.
- 70% of the profits that credit card companies make come from late fees. Pay your bills on time.
