Most people agree that fast food and credit card debt are not good for you. But check out the stats from this article:
In fact, we put $51 billion worth of fast food on credit and debit cards in 2006, up from $33.2 billion the year before, according to CardData, which tracks the industry.
That is frightening.
How much is $51 billion? If you assume there are 300 million people in America, that’s $170 of fast food charges on credit cards for every man, woman, and child in the country.
I find that astounding. If you’re an average family of four, that means you likely spent $680 on fast food on your credit card last year.
With some exceptions, fast food is not good for you. Putting a fast food charge on your credit card and racking up interest charges is potentially worse for your health.
Please stop eating fast food, especially if you need to use your credit card to do it.
