There’s a great story on Yahoo today about how to make more money. It’s simple, but brilliant.
One of the most effective ways to get yourself out of debt is to make more money. In some ways it’s simpler said than done. But in reality, it mostly involves changing the way you use your free time.
The big upside to finding a “side job” to make some extra money is that it ties up your time, which keeps you from spending more money.
Your side job might be a part-time job, selling something online, mowing lawns or just about anything else. Be creative.
Here’s an idea: try to find a way making extra money doing something that you really like. You don’t have to make a fortune at it. Any extra money you bring in goes to paying your bills. If you like sports, get a job at a sports bar or with a local team as a food vendor. If you like to shop at a particular store, take on a part-time job selling there (you’ll get a discount too). If you own a lawn mower and don’t mind the time you spend out there (maybe you like to listen to music or have some alone time), ask your neighbors if you can mow their lawn for a few bucks.
